OUR VISION
Roland Hartley was a 14 yo Canadian immigrant when he applied for American Citizenship in 1878. Through the opportunities provided by our American Freedom, his American Dream grew into a wonderful family, success in business and the chance to be voted hometown Mayor 1910 and Washington State Governor 1925-1933.
There is a photo of his sons’ departures for WWI outside the Hartley Mansion’s front door, and the text on a floor banner inside the front door states that by then, Roland had already joined the Washington National Guards, Company D, 3rd Infantry.
Today, the completion of the Hartley Legacy is that…
Any attack upon our American Freedom, particularly one that Threatens the Monuments of our American Dreams, will be defeated if we, as Americans, are willing to pay for the Cost of Freedom.
